Samba-Corée is a non-profit association created on August 21, 2011 in Seoul by the Gabonese community in South Korea, whose very first president was Prof. Brice Obiang. Samba-Corée aims not only to promote the cultural and intellectual values of Gabonese youth in South Korea, but also to facilitate their integration into Korean society.
Born on August 21, 2011 by the General Council and then by the recognition of the Samba Korea community. The logo was donated by Jesse Gaetan Alloghe, a Gabonese student majoring in Visual Communication and Design at Myongji University. It shows the cooperation between our two cultures (Gabon-South Korea) in the form of two hands standing together on a green background with the motto: Unity – Fraternity – Realisation.
Changed in 2013, by the General Council and then by the appreciation of the Samba Korea community. The second logo of Samba-Corée was developed under the chairmanship of Boris Ondo, with Jestril Ebaga Ololo as Secretary General and a communication student from the College of Malaya as part of the exchange program in Chonnam National College. It represents the unity of our two cultures through the five colors in the form of a golden circle from the inside and outside.
Amended on March 19, 2021 by the General Council and subsequently by the General Assembly of the Samba-Corée Association on April 17, 2021. The 3rd logo was proposed by the President Mikouma Ted Martinez, Gabonese student of economics at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in collaboration with Yeonju Byun. It shows the unity of our two cultures through the seven colors of Gabon and South Korea in a heptagonal shape that is golden on the inside and surrounded by a circle.
