On June 6, the Republic of Korea commemorates Korean Memorial Day (현충일), a national day dedicated to honoring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation, its freedom, and peace.
This day provides an opportunity to pay tribute to the soldiers who fell in battle, particularly during the Korean War, as well as to the patriots and independence activists who contributed to the country’s sovereignty and independence.
Their courage, sense of duty, and devotion continue to inspire present and future generations. Through their sacrifice, the Republic of Korea was able to overcome the challenges of its history and build the prosperous nation we know today.
On this occasion, the Samba Corée Association expresses its deepest respect for the memory of the fallen and extends its sincere thoughts to the families who continue to honor their legacy.
Let us remember their sacrifice, honor their memory, and continue working together for a future of peace, solidarity, and fraternity.
