    M. Emilie Makes Gabon Shine Among the Best at the 8th Model African Union Assembly

Samba-Corée proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement at the 8th Model African Union Assembly, held at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea on November 14–15, 2025.

This prestigious event gathered youth representatives and mentors from nearly 30 African countries to simulate the work of the African Union and engage in high-level discussions on pressing continental issues. Among them, Gabon stood out and at the heart of this success was our very own member, Mikouata Emilie, who had the honor of being appointed Mentor for this 8th edition.

Representing Gabon with excellence and dedication, she guided her delegation through rigorous debates, strategic negotiations, and collaborative policymaking. Her leadership and commitment contributed to an outstanding result: Gabon was selected among the 8 winning countries out of 30 participating nations, earning a prestigious distinction during the closing ceremony.

The recognition was made even more meaningful by the presence of His Excellency Landry MBOUMBA, Ambassador of Gabon, who personally attended the event to congratulate the Gabonese team. His support symbolized the importance of youth diplomacy and the strengthening of ties between Africa and Korea.

The Model African Union Assembly is more than a simulation. It is a platform that empowers young leaders to engage with complex topics such as the return of illicitly trafficked cultural heritage and non-traditional security threats in Africa. Through debate and dialogue, participants develop diplomatic skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of continental governance.

For Samba-Corée, this achievement reflects our commitment to promoting African representation, excellence, and leadership on the international stage. Seeing one of our members mentor a national delegation and contribute to a winning outcome is a source of immense pride for our community.

Congratulations to Mikouata Emilie and to Team Gabon for this inspiring accomplishment. May this success continue to open doors for greater collaboration and impactful leadership.
